  3. Click the lock and authenticate as an administrator account.<\/li>\n
  4. Click Login Options.<\/li>\n
  5. Click the “Edit” or “Join” button at the bottom right.<\/li>\n
  6. Click the “Open Directory Utility” button.<\/li>\n
  7. Click the lock in the Directory Utility window.\"enter

  8. Again, you have to have access to an administrator account to do this (so you can authenticate).<\/li>\n
  9. Enter an administrator account name and password, then click OK.<\/li>\n
  10. Choose\u00a0Enable Root User\u00a0from the\u00a0Edit\u00a0menu.<\/li>\n
