A Game Built On A Single Sensation
Some games chase points. Static Sync chases a feeling – the click of two waves locking into phase. A pink waveform scrolls along the top of the screen. A cyan one scrolls below. Both move at the same frequency but they are out of phase. You drag horizontally to shift the top wave until it visually overlaps the bottom one. Hold the alignment and a sync bar fills. Bar full and you level up.
That is the entire game. No score multipliers, no power-ups, no shop. Just the satisfying snap of synchrony.
Why Phase Lock Is Addictive
The brain has a deeply wired reward for symmetry detection. We are pattern matchers – it is how we read faces, how we hear music, how we balance. Static Sync isolates that detection circuit and rings the bell every time you trigger it.
Each level shrinks the alignment tolerance and speeds the wave drift. You go from holding sync casually to having to track sub-second corrections. The skill ceiling is your own visual acuity.
