The Game That Doubles Your Decisions
Most arcade games ask you to dodge or to collect. Polarity asks both at once – and which one you are doing depends on a state you can flip with a single tap. Red particles drift in. Blue particles drift in. If your charge is opposite to the particle, contact scores. If your charge matches, contact kills.
Add a drag input for movement and you have a game that punishes inattention twice over. You can be in the right spot at the wrong charge. Or the wrong spot at the right charge. Both are deadly.
Why The Flip Matters
Single-color games train you to spatial reflex – move toward green, avoid red. Polarity trains you to stateful spatial reflex. Your brain has to track both your position and your current state, then merge that with the incoming particle stream. The cognitive load doubles per second.
This is why the early game feels relaxing and minute three feels like a panic attack. Your eyes can keep up with the particles. Your tap thumb cannot keep up with the flips.
