Walden by Henry David Thoreau

Walden, written by Henry David Thoreau is one of the classic as it was written 150 years ago. The work is part independence, social experiment, voyage of spiritual discovery, satire, and manual for self-reliance. Published in 1854, it details Thoreau’s experiences over the course of two years in a cabin he built near Walden Pond.

Its a long book will take you little about 15 days to read it. Walden is a book which you know it’s good for you, and to some degree you enjoy the wholesomeness of it, but it’s not always particularly exciting. His whole ‘back to nature’ & simplistic look at life do have their appeal. I think it may more appeal to older generations one above age of 40’s.  If you love to be one with nature, you will like this book.
