2025 Year in Review
Year-End Reflections and Future Aspirations
As the year comes to an end, it offers a valuable opportunity to pause and take stock—reviewing accomplishments, reflecting on lessons learned, and clarifying ambitions for the year ahead. To structure this reflection, I am revisiting the commitments I set last year and assessing them through three guiding questions.
1. What Went Well This Year?
- Travel: After four long years, I finally visited Iraq (Karbala and Najaf), a trip filled with blessing and cherished memories. This year also included revisits to Ahmedabad, Surat, Udaipur and Galiyakot. Aiming to maintain a consistent travel rhythm, I dedicated a few days each month to explore new places—a goal I’m proud to have pursued.
- Fitness: I successfully got back on track with my exercise routine, working out three times a week. While the journey to optimal health is ongoing, this renewed commitment marks an important milestone. To elevate these gains, focusing on diet control will be a key priority next year. My current weight is 65.5 Kgs.
- Sleep: Prioritizing sleep paid off! I averaged 6 hours and 19 minutes of rest per night, with 40 minutes of deep sleep. For 2025, I aim to reach 7 hours of quality sleep nightly, improving both quantity and depth.
- Financial Milestone: A major highlight this year was diversify in investments and it was made possible by help from friends and family and, above all, the grace of Allah. Working on major projects at the end of the year will hopefully will bring fruits in years to come.
2. What Didn’t Go So Well?
- Writing: Despite a goal to write one article every week, I managed only fourteen articles this year. While it was a challenging period for consistency, the growth in blog viewership is encouraging. For those curious, my book remains available at amzn.to/2CHesaZ.
- Creating New Opportunities: While I attended a few conferences and connected with remarkable people, I realized I could have done more to actively create and embrace new ventures.
- Family and Friends: Frequent travel commitments made it difficult to spend as much quality time as I’d hoped with loved ones. Need work on this front.
3. What Am I Working Toward?
-
Networking and Learning: In 2026, I plan to place greater emphasis on building meaningful networks and pursuing continuous learning—not only to advance professionally, but also to grow personally. These relationships and insights will serve as important catalysts for long-term growth.
-
Business Expansion: Having made encouraging progress this year, I intend to accelerate my focus on expanding the business. From establishing new partnerships to exploring innovative opportunities, 2026 will be defined by decisive action and ambitious execution.
-
A Thriving Future: The progress achieved and the mindset shifts developed in 2025 leave me optimistic about the experiences, opportunities, and lessons that lie ahead in 2026.
